SevenFriday T1/02 Micah’s Voice Special Edition exclusive watch coming to Malaysia 

As a brand, SevenFriday has been a strong advocate for charitable causes and this time around, they’ve reunited with Shawn Stockman of BoyzIIMen fame to create a unique timepiece dubbed the SevenFriday T1/02 Micah’s Voice Special Edition to raise funds for their charity Micah’s Voice that supports autism awareness.

The second such collaboration with Shawn Stockman, the SevenFriday T1/02 Micah’s Voice Special Edition is a limited edition timepiece from SevenFriday’s sublime T-series embellished with unique touches and motifs that both evoke Micah’s Voice and which will make it a cherished collectible.

The first collaborative timepiece, the P3/01 raised a whopping USD100,000 and it is hoped that the SevenFriday T1/02 Micah’s Voice Special Edition will help towards achieving that goal in these challenging times

“When our friend Shawn Stockman, of BoyzIIMen fame, asked us to help him and his wife Sharhonda raise funds for their charity Micah’s Voice, we put away childish things and came up in 2015 with the P3/01, a 99-piece limited edition, with  the whole money going to support autism awareness, a whopping USD 100,000! And we  threw in a unique custom guitar to be auctioned for good measure!,” said Dan Niedrer, the founder of SevenFriday. “ He adds, “You see, when it comes to our friends and children, we are happy to grow up just enough  to come up with ideas and especially funds to help those in need.”

For the uninitiated, Micah’s Voice is a non-profit organisation based in the United States that was established by Shawn and Sharhonda Stockman to provide community, hope and resources for families affected by autism. The cause is especially dear to Shawn as one of his twin sons, Micah, was diagnosed with autism at an early age. Proceeds from the purchase of every SevenFriday T1/02 Micah’s Voice Special Edition will go towards the Micah’s Voice charity in order to educate and support children and their families suffering from autism spectrum disorder.

What is the SevenFriday T1/02 Micah’s Voice Special Edition

The SevenFriday T1/02 Micah’s Voice Special Edition features the indelible design that marks it as a SevenFriday timepiece embellished with distinctive heartwarming touches that make it unlike any other 7F timepiece that has come before.

Externally, the SevenFriday T1/02 Micah’s Voice Special Edition has the 7F distinctive squarish rounded case hewn of 316L stainless steel that features 3ATM water resistance. Complementing this collectible timepiece is a premium quality calfskin leather strap with yellow stitched details and a loop finish in yellow leather.

An automatic TMI-Seiko NH70 movement with a 40-hours power reserve powers an intricate four-layer dial that features a gradient grey akin to the CR39 sunglasses in the 7F range with a double layer dial ring that pairs up a circular brushed intermediate ring and a beveled inner circle in brushed rhodium.

What marks the SevenFriday T1/02 Micah’s Voice Special Edition as a unique collaborative timepiece is its eye-catching Micah’s Voice smiley logo in yellow at the 6 ‘o’clock position with the phrase ‘little bit louder now’ just above it. 

The dial itself is sandblasted black with a grooved line running all around filled in with glossy Berlac lacquer. The crown itself is also done up with the same glossy black lacquer finish with the 7F logo on the side with the face covered in K1 hardened mineral glass. 

The underside of the case features a unique polycarbonate chip cover that celebrates the Micah’s Voice Foundation and SevenFriday collaboration complete with an NFC chip signifying its authenticity along with a serial number indicating its sequence out of the exclusive 100 watches manufactured in the series.

At launch, the SevenFriday T1/02 Micah’s Voice will retail for USD988 which is about RM4,388 . There are only 100 examples of the watch in existence, which makes it highly collectible and desirable for those looking to own a beautiful timepiece that will also benefit the Micah’s Voice charity.

Bundled with every T1/02 Micah’s Voice edition timepiece is a 30-cm tall MV Riley Bear plushie which has the 7F logo emblazoned on one paw and the Micah’s Voice logo on the other, a Micah’s Voice tattoo on the arm while wearing a SevenFriday T-shirt and a cute smirk.
