Shopee scores exclusive rights to launch Realme 2 Pro
Realme is a young brand as things go with their recent launch of their Realme 2 and Realme 2 Pro smartphones in Jakarta a few weeks back marking their debut in Southeast Asia. Now, the OPPO spinoff is making their next big step in Malaysia as they’ve just signed an MoI with Shopee, giving them exclusive rights to sell the Realme 2 Pro in Malaysia starting from 11 November, the date of their 11.11 Big Sale.
Tiffany Teh, Brand Manager of Realme Malaysia said, “Our partnership with Shopee rings true to the core value of Realme. We are a young company and we are proud to be young. Shopee has only been in the e-commerce business for 3 years but in this time has grown to be one of the leading e-commerce platforms in Southeast Asia and Taiwan; surpassing benchmarks and expectations of everyone. We are confident that our exclusive Realme 2 Pro partnership with Shopee will fulfill and exceed its potential.”
To recap, the Realme 2 Pro comes with a 6.3-inch FHD+ touchscreen with a dewdrop-shaped notched cut in the front to offer a larger 90.8% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the phone runs Android 8.1 on a Snapdragon 660 octacore processor with three storage/RAM configurations depending on region – 6GB RAM/64GB storage, 4GB RAM/64GB storage and 8GB RAM /128GB storage. So far, they’re keeping mum on which variant will be arriving in Malaysia though they did announce the official date of the Realme 2 launch, which is next week on 7 November 2018.
