TC Acoustic has some awesome gift ideas for you this Christmas
It’s that time of year again when giving gifts for loved ones near and far is high on the agenda. Rather than the usual sad lumps of coal, some random thingamajig you found off eBay or a horrendous conversation piece that would give Lovecraft nightmares, why not opt for something vastly more practical and which actually costs less than an iPhone 7? TC Acoustic has a couple of interesting gems on offer that are ideal for almost any gadget lover and quite a few who are not either.
Klipsch Reference II
If you have an audiophile in your life or need a safe bet to put in that Christmas stocking, the Klipsch Reference II closed-back, on-ear headphones are a sweet proposition. Like other Klipsch hardware of recent vintage, they have a in-line remote control optimised for iOS hardware though and have a flat tagliatelle-style cable to prevent tangling. The on-ear cans are also decadently comfortable and hide a pair of 40mm Full Ragen KG-105 drives to deliver sumptuously lush audio and great vocals too. The clincher is that unlike older generation models, you can swap out the padded cans for new ones when they wear out. It comes in a conventional wired variant for RM1,099 and a wireless Bluetooth variant for RM1,299 at all Machines and Connect stores nationwide.
360fly HD & 360fly 4K
If you’re aiming for a gift for the more social media inclined loved one in your life, you’ll find the 360fly cameras a wonderful stocking stuffer. The cameras are about the size of a golfball but are able to capture video in a complete 360-degree swath around it with a single lens rather than having to go through any complicated video stitching sorcery.
The 360fly HD captures 720P video, has an IP67 rating for water resistance and is dust and shockproof to boot It’s also quite a conversation piece seeing as it’s shaped like a geometric eyeball the size of a golf ball. If you’re aiming for a sharper, crisper experience, the 360fky 4K is able to capture 4K video. It’s also a bit more robust too as it’s rated to be water resistant to ten meters in the drink. On top of taking 4K video, the 360fly 4K also has a first-person mode for more traditional work. You just point the eyeball bit forward and it’ll snap traditional video and snaps as needed. It’s also capable of capturing time lapse videos too. Videos from the 360fly series are able to be shared straight to YouTube or Facebook for the edification of friends, family and everyone else on the planet. The 360fly HD retails for RM1,990 while the 360fly HD 4K retails for RM2,990. Both are available at Radio Shack and Harvey Norman stores nationwide.
