Tom Clancy’s ‘The Division’ rolls out update 1.8.1 with new global events
Ubisoft’s dystopian shooter Tom Clancy’s The Division has just enjoyed a substantial 1.8.1 update across all available platforms that offers balance changes as well as the addition of Xbox One X Enhanced 4K Ultra HD optimisation.
The 1.8.1 update of The Division increases the drop rate for Classified Gear both in the wild and in Legendary Missions as well as including 40 new commendations to strive for. Of note is the inclusion of two new global events dubbed Blackout which is available sometime in April and Onslaught that will take place sometime in May.
For Blackout, agents pack Shock Ammo that can stun hostiles. As you run and gun, you build up a charge meter and the more charge you have, the more damage you can inflict. In Onslaught, agents can deal burn, bleed and gas effects on top of normal damage though this changes when you reload. There are also new Legendary difficulty missions in Amherst’s Apartment and Grand Central Station too.
All this ought to us busy in the meantime until E3 where they will announce further details on The Division 2. For a complete changelog for the 1.8.1 update, saunter on to www.thedivisiongame.com
