Xiaomi reveals the Redmi Note 11 series with MIUI 13, smooth 120Hz displays and more

Xiaomi has taken the wraps off their latest generation Redmi Note 11 series smartphones that consist of the Redmi Note 11, the Redmi Note 11s, the Redmi Note 11 Pro and the top of the line Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G.

What are the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 series

Intended as a rarefied blend of performance and value, the new range of Redmi Note 11 series phones run their new MIUI 13 OS, feature a range of up to 120Hz AMOLED displays, up to 108MP triple or quad camera arrays and come with a combination of Qualcomm’s higher end midrange 600 series CPUs with the new Snapdragon 695 CPU for the top of the line model, the Snapdragon 680 bookending the entry level model of the series and the new Mediatek G96 CPU for the two other phones of the range.

The top of the line Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G has the best hardware in the series which consist of a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED DotDisplay with a 120Hz refresh rate, the Snapdragon 695 CPU, up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB of expandable storage, a triple camera array with a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultra wide camera and a 2MP camera.

Up front, the phone has a 16MP selfie camera and keeping it powered is a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging. Colour choices available for the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G are Graphite Gray, Polar White and Atlantic Blue.

Slightly lower down the totem pole is the Redmi Note 11 Pro that is otherwise similar to the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G with the notable lack of 5G connectivity, swapping out the SD695 SoC for a MediaTek Helio G96 processor, similar storage options with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB storage and substituting the triple camera array for a quad camera setup that consists of a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultra wide angle camera, a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor. Colour options consist of Graphite Gray, Polar White and Star Blue.

Next to last in the new Redmi Note 11 series lineup is the Redmi Note 11s that uses a smaller 6.43-inch 90Hz FHD+ AMOLED DotDisplay, uses the same MediaTek Helio G96 CPU and quad camera array as the Redmi Note 11 Pro with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB in storage. You get three colour choices on offer with Graphite Gray, Twilight Blue and Pearl White.

Last but not least is the Redmi Note 11 which uses the same 6.43-inch 90Hz FHD+ display as the Redmi Note 11s and uses a Snapdragon 680 processor, either 4GB or 6GB RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of storage. The rear camera is a more modestly equipped 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra wide angle, a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth camera.

Redmi Note 11 Series Price and Availability

At the global launch, Xiaomi announced that the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G will cost from US$329, the Redmi Note 11 Pro will cost from US$299, the Redmi Note 11S from US$249 and the Redmi Note 11 from US$179.
