Latest Dell Latitude 9430 packs 12th Gen Intel CPUs and posh design to be the ultimate premium business convertible
Since its debut at CES 2020, the Dell Latitude 9000 series has become the byword for ultra premium laptops intended for the corporate elite and its latest addition to the line, dubbed the Latitude 9430 aims to continue that fine tradition with the latest tech, cutting edge security and premium materials used in its construction.
What is the Dell Latitude 9430
Currently, the Latitude 9430 is the world’s smallest 14-inch business PC with a 16:10 aspect ratio which makes it exceptionally portable indeed. In keeping with its intended audience, the Latitude 9430 comes packed with the best hardware possible and above all, a host of enterprise-grade security and connectivity features for any captain of industry or high-flying executive.
Dell Latitude 9430 Specifications
In terms of specifications, the Dell Latitude 9430 comes in either a traditional clamshell or 2-in-1 convertible with a 360-degree hinge and the best hardware that Dell can shoehorn into the 8.42mm thin casing.
In the case of the 2-in-1, you get a 14-inch QHD+ touchscreen with 100% sRGB and WVGA (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) resolution to accompany the 360-degree hinge that let you convert it into a display or WIndows tablet at will. The display also has onlooker detection that alerts you of peeping toms or backseat wannabe managers along with a Look-away detect feature that dims the screen when you’re not staring at it.
Under the hood, it has up to a 12th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU with vPro, up to WIndows 11 pro 64-bit though an Ubuntu flavour is available later in the year, up to 32GB LPDDR5 RAM, Intel Iris Xe graphics, up to a 1TB SSD and up to a 3-cell 60Whr battery which is among the largest in a 14-inch laptop with ExpressCharge 2.0 tech that ensures up to an 80% fast charge in 40 minutes. The laptop also has their Dell Optimizer tech that leverages AI to optimise app performance, battery life and your privacy without the need for significant tinkering.
It also retails a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports with DisplayPort and Power Delivery, a HDMI 2.0 port as well as fast WiFi 6E connectivity and up to 5G connectivity in selected models. To ensure superior connectivity, the Latitude 9430 leverages their Dell Optimizer Tech which in turn offers an ExpressConnect feature that combines both a WiFi and a data connection for faster data and video calls.
For business calls, it has a FHD IR camera that has a SafeShutter which automatically opens and closes when you make video calls and has four speakers, two of which are top-firing and two-bottom firing along with 4 noise cancelling microphones for clear calls.
The conventional Latitude 9430 clamshell model has similar specification parameters but features a 14-inch FHD+ (1,920 x 1,200 pixel) non-touch display with 100% sRGB and a normal clamshell hinge.
On the sustainability front, the Latitude 9430 also uses 100% recycled or renewable packaging and is the first design in their line-up that meets their Dell 2030 moonshot goals. There’s no details on pricing or availability just yet from Dell for the Latitude 9430 but we’ll keep you posted on when it will arrive in Malaysia.
