What happened at the HUAWEI Fans Carnival 2023
For the HUAWEI Fans Carnival 2023 festivities, fans were treated to a behind-the-scenes look at HUAWEI headquarters in Songshan Lake, China.
As part of their emphasis on user health and fitness, the massive HUAWEI Health Lab is one of the most critical facilities at Songshan Lake and fans of the brand saw firsthand how the precise fitness and activity tracking capabilities of their smart wearables such as the recently launched HUAWEI Watch GT 4 were tested, developed and refined at the lab.
Spanning a staggering 4,680 square metres, the sprawling HUAWEI Health Lab hosts a high-altitude simulation chamber, a full-sized professional basketball court, exercise physiology research area with almost every conceivable gym machine imaginable laid out in neat orderly rows and even a huge rock-climbing wall too.
That’s not all, the HUAWEI Health Lab also has a table-tennis playing robot that offered stiff competition to any contender willing to step up and there was even a specialised golf driving zone where users could record and analyse everything from swing posture, timing and speed too.
Taken individually, the HUAWEI Health Lab was a fitness buff’s dream come true, where every aspect of HUAWEI’s smart wearables could be tested before going to market. HUAWEI’s fans were able to see and fully appreciate the slavish efforts for testing undertaken at the HUAWEI Health Lab to ensure that every HUAWEI smart wearable works to world-class standards.
After the extensive workout at the HUAWEI Health Lab, fans participating in the HUAWEI Fans Carnival 2023 celebration were ushered to visit HUAWEI Ox Horn campus, a research and development facility constructed in the style of an European-themed city serviced by a specially designed train which circles the locale.
Fans were able to bask in the bucolic scenery which resembled Europe in miniature and were able to do what tourists love to do – capture memories! Something that HUAWEI’s flagship phones like the P60 Pro and Mate60 Pro with their XMAGE camera systems are able to do capture exceptional photos and video.
After the grand tour, HUAWEI fans were treated to a meaningful ceremony where each and every fan were presented a commemorative medal to thank them all for their staunch support.
Some fans were also able to share their stories too such as Grace from the Philippines who has used HUAWEI phones since 2018, actively participates in the HUAWEI community both locally and abroad as well as constantly updating her devices to the latest HUAWEI models across the range from smartphones to tablets.
Rather than just sightseeing, the HUAWEI Fans Carnival 2023 also enabled fans, including the contingent from Malaysia to field test and experience HUAWEI’s latest upcoming gear that will be launching soon in a Fashion Street experiential zone which had a host of interactive activities in the style of a busy downtown street in China replete with glowing neon signage and bustling crowds.
Fans were able to use the new MatePad Pro 13.2 2024 with its 3rd Gen M-Pencils styli which used the new NearLink technology for near instantaneous response to draw, doodle and create works of art.
More energetic fans were able to test HUAWEI’s latest wearables including the recently released Watch GT 4 at the Youth Stadium which had a host of fitness challenges to accomplish for bragging rights. As fans traversed the Fashion Street and completed challenges, they were rewarded with customised treats and goodies such as bespoke canvas bags, personalised tea cups and much more.
To ensure everyone had a fun time and fully enjoy the Fashion Street experience, HUAWEI fans were able to get a close-up hands-on of the newly launched devices in a secret briefing ahead of time where they were able to see the HUAWEI FreeClip, the improved MatePad Pro 13.2 2024 and the new MateBook D 16 2024 laptop ahead of their official global launch in Dubai and experience their capabilities in an up-close and personal fashion.
Before HUAWEI fans parted ways at the conclusion of the HUAWEI Fans Carnival 2023 celebration, they all had the opportunity to visit the HUAWEI flagship store in Shenzhen where they were able to see and experience everything HUAWEI had to offer under one roof including HUAWEI’s very own luxury electric SUV with test drives for lucky fans.
That’s not all, the extensive displays at the HUAWEI flagship store displayed the results of the latest 2023 Global XMAGE contest, with Filipino filmmaker and author Domcar Calinawan Lagto’s masterpiece taking pride of place as the global grand prize winner.
