Huawei has announced that they will be launching a new line-up of gear, specifically the Huawei Watch GT 4 smartwatch, MatePad 11 PaperMatte Edition tablet, Freebuds Pro 3 earbuds and more in an event that will take place this coming 5th October 2023 in Malaysia.
Huawei Watch GT 4 smartwatch, MatePad 11 PaperMatte edition tablet and FreeBuds 3 Pro launch details
We managed to get a firsthand look at the Huawei Watch GT 4 smartwatch and the MatePad 11 PaperMatte edition tablet a couple of weeks back and they both respectively represent interesting takes on a smartwatch and a tablet. The Huawei Watch GT 4 comes in a number of different finishes ranging from a stainless steel case and strap all the way to variants in fabric and fluoroelastomer.
For Malaysia, Huawei will be issuing the Watch GT 4 smartwatch in larger 46mm and smaller 41mm sizes with the watches offering up to 14 days of battery life, heart rate tracking, Sp02 monitoring, activity tracking as well as a selection of selectable workouts.
The watches all feature their update TruSeen 5.5 algorithm that offers more accurate heart rate tracking too and all of them feature up to ATM5 water resistance as well as an IP68 rating.
The MatePad 11 PaperMatte edition is a variant of their MatePad 11 that uses a new materials process to create a matte finish akin to paper onto the tablet display to offer more tactile and responsive experience for both fingers and the provided M-Pencil stylus.
According to the official specifications on their page, it has an 11-inch 2K IPS LCD display, runs on a Snapdragon 870 chipset with 8GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage via a microSD card, runs their own Harmony OS 3.1 and hosts a rear 13MP and front 8MP camera. The tablet runs on a 7,250mAh battery and also has WiFi only connectivity.
At present, Huawei did not officially mention any specifications or price for the FreeBuds Pro 3 earbuds. They have however listed an official page with a preorder for the Huawei Watch GT 4 where buyers can plunk down an RM50 deposit for the watch as well as claim an early bird voucher worth RM20 along with other perks ahead of its official launch on 5th October 2023.
You can check out the official Huawei Watch GT 4 preorder page here. There is also a specifications page for the MatePad 11 PaperMatte edition but no means to purchase it yet. In any case, we’ll likely find out more when they launch on 5th October 2023. For more details, stay tuned to Huawei’s official page at https://consumer.huawei.com/my/
