Mcdonald’s Nasi Lemak burger reimagines an old favourite in a new way
Malaysia’s time tested comfort meal of choice is a marvelous blend of basic ingredients that meld together into an amazingly flavoursome whole that makes it a filling meal on its own or a sublime experience when paired with additional condiments like fried chicken, cuttlefish and the like. Now, Mcdonald’s is reimagining the age-old dish in a new way, kind of like Ron. D. Moore’s Battlestar Galactica. Enter the Mcdonald’s Nasi Lemak Burger.
The burger is available for a limited time only while stocks last starting tomorrow from 26 April and consists of a coconut-flavoured chicken thigh patty coated with a special cornflake breading and then fried till golden brown. Added onto this is a fried egg, caramelised onions, freshly sliced cucumbers and Mcdonald’s own special sambal sauce, all of which is lovingly layered into a chilli-infused bun.
The McDonald’s Nasi Lemak Burger is available nationwide at RM14,95 on its own or for RM16.95 for a regular set meal that includes a set of french fries and a serving of 100 Plus. For more details swing by www.mcdonalds.com.my
