New Luminor Quaranta Razer Special Edition is the ultimate gamer luxury watch
At RazerCon 2022, Razer has kicked things up a notch with quite possibly the most unusual team-up ever as they’ve announced a collaboration with luxury watchmaker Panerai to create a new limited edition Quaranta Razer Special Edition timepiece that blends Razer’s distinctive black and green aesthetics with Panerai’s legendary design.
Razer fans will likely recall that Razer and Panerai collaborated last year for manta ray conservation efforts and this new collaborative timepiece aims to continue that effort with a clarion call to ‘make time for our ocean’.
What is the Quaranta Razer Special Edition
The Quaranta Razer Special Edition (PAM1353) timepiece is functionally similar to the existing Luminor Quaranta range by Panerai though the emphasis is on the use of eco-friendly materials with the strap made of post-consumer recycled plastic bottles while the 40mm case is made of recycled steel that’s water resistant down to 100 metres. Even the package itself is made of 72% recycled material. Powering the watch is a P.900 movement with a 72-hour power reserve.
Aesthetically speaking, the Quaranta Razer Special Edition is done up in matte black with neon green stitching on the watch strap and the second hand done up in Razer’s iconic neon green with the underside engraved with Razer’s triskelion logo. THere’s no official prices yet for the Quaranta Razer Special Edition and there will only be 500 pieces ever made. For more details, keep an eye out www.razer.com
