Razer Barracuda X multiplatform headphones are here for RM459; plays great with PC, PS, Switch and Android gear
Swapping between different devices when using a gaming headset can be a royal pain in the posterior but the new Razer Barracuda X handily nips that problem in the bud as it plays nicely with PCs, the PlayStation, the Nintendo Switch and Android gear with the ability to switch between them at will in seconds.
To achieve this multiplatform capability, the Razer Barracuda X is built from the ground up with emphasis placed on an advanced wireless USB-C dongle dubbed the Razer HyperSpeed Wireless USB-C dongle that lets it function as a plug-and-play device without the need for onerous pairing or driver downloads.
You simply grab the dongle, bung it into the device you want to play and away you go. It also ships with a USB-C to USB-A adapter just in case the device in question lacks a USB-C port.
Connectivity aside, the headphones feature 40mm TriForce drivers to kick out 7.1 Surround Sound across the range, has a detachable cardioid mic and features plushly upholstered cans along with a light 250g carry weight for hours of decadent gaming comfort. While it’s light, the Razer Barracuda X also has a respectable 20 hours of battery life in the bargain.
