Samsung’s new Sound+ HW-MS751 Soundbar aims to offer home cinematic sound for RM3,499
Samsung’s latest soundbar the Sound+ HW-MS751 is a rectangular and squarish speaker like a steel rebar given an art deco makeover but crammed within its rather natty looking exterior are eleven speakers that kick out enough sound to fill out a good sized room and then some.
The soundbar Sound+ is a wireless speaker that plays music wirelessly off most options including your phone and, of course Samsung’s QLED TVs. Its eleven speakers offer five channel sound and sport three tweeters, six woofers and two vertically mounted wide-range tweeters, enabling it to act as a surprisingly compact home theatre system of sorts for movies, audio and gaming duties alike.
All this sonic hardware is put to good use to conjure up a convincing soundstage that envelops a viewer in a sphere of sound regardless of where they sit facing the soundbar so that everyone needn’t have to fight for the traditional sweet spot of more archaic speakers or home theatre systems.
The whole affair is also able to assess the audio content that it is playing and then adjust its soundstage and acoustics appropriately on its own for maximum effect. One particular feature on the soundbar Sound+ that Samsung was keen to showcase is that it is able to upscale 16-bit / 44kHz audio to 32-bit /96kHz audio in a seamless fashion, allowing users with more modest music collections to enjoy their MP3 collections in a better fashion.
To keep it seamlessly simple, the soundbar Sound+ can coincidentally be wall mounted just under Samsung’s QLED TVs via Samsung’s One Mount Wall kits without any additional holes drilled into the wall, effectively perching just underneath the TV in a somewhat ethereal fashion. If Samsung’s compact audio wunderkind floats your boat, it retails for RM3,499 and is available at all good retailers nationwide.
