New Sony LinkBuds Fit, LinkBuds Open and LinkBuds Speaker coming to Malaysia; preorders commence in November 2024
Sony has expanded their range of audio gear in Malaysia as they’ve just added not one but three new additions to their LinkBuds range in the form of the new LinkBuds Fit and LinkBuds Open wireless earbuds along with a new LinkBuds Speaker. Both the LinkBuds Fit and LinkBuds Open notably feature unique collaborative colourways with songstress Olivia Rodrigo and also feature special EQ settings as tuned by Olivia herself.

The quaintly designed Sony LinkBuds Open have a conventional outer bud shape that has an IPX4 rating for water resistance as well as a distinctive open-ring design that integrates an 11mm driver in tandem with their own Sony Integrated Processor V2 and Sony DSEE for superior sound quality.
The Sony LinkBuds Open also feature what they refer to as Air Fitting Supporters that ensure extended comfort when worn. In Malaysia, the LinkBuds Open are also available in three colourways which are Black, White and a distinctive Olivia Rodrigo Violet colourway.
Sony LinkBuds Fit specs
As you’d surmise from the name, the Sony LinkBuds Fit are intended for athletes and sportsmen with a series of Air Fitting Supporters that are designed for a secure, comfortable fit while the earbuds offer IPX4 splash resistance.
To deliver rich audio straight to your ears, the Sony LinkBuds feature Sony Dynamic Driver X drivers , their Integrated Processor V2 as well as their DSEE upscaling tech for rich, superior sound.
There’s also active noise cancellation tech that also packs an Auto Ambient Sound Mode that intelligently adjusts noise cancellation and pumps in ambient sound depending on what’s happening. Additional features include Multipoint Connection to swap between two paired devices at will and is rated for up to 21 hours of battery life. In Malaysia, the Sony LinkBuds Fit is available in black, white, green as well as an Olivia Rodrigo violet finish.
Sony LinkBuds Speaker specs
The Sony LinkBuds Speaker is a compact fist-sized wireless speaker that packs Sony’s X-Balanced Speaker along with a tweeter and passive radiators to offer omnidirectional sound. When paired with a phone, it is also able to offer hands-free calls with Sony claiming best-in-class call quality on top of built-in echo cancellation tech. On paper, it offers up to a quoted 25 hours of battery life.
Available in a Light Grey or Black colourway, the Sony LinkBuds speaker has a carrying ring on the back with a detachable strap along with an IPX4 splash resistance rating.
Sony LinkBuds Fit, LinkBuds Open and LinkBuds Speaker Malaysia price and preorder details
At the time of writing, Sony Malaysia hasn’t furnished pricing details for the LinkBuds Speaker though they did reveal that the prices for the LinkBuds Fit and LinkBuds Open wireless earbuds will both be RM999. All three LinkBuds products will be available for preorder next month from 1 November 2024 onwards with a slated street date of early January 2025.
