New Sony WF-C710N wireless earbuds with noise cancelling and sweet colourways launched in Malaysia for RM499
Sony is renowned not only for making some of the best cameras and lenses on the planet but seriously good audio gear too such as the WF-1000XM5 wireless earbuds that are among the best buds that money can currently buy.
For those with more modest means, Sony has launched the new WF-C710N wireless earbuds in Malaysia that offer noise cancelling for a modest RM499 price tag. Beyond the usual pink, black and white colourways, Sony has also issued the WF-C710N in a stunning shade of Glass Blue with the earbuds and the case itself made of semi-translucent blue plastic which lends it a very distinctive look. The buds also have IPX4 splash resistance though the case itself lacks weather resistance.
On paper, the Sony WF-C710N wireless earbuds have 5mm drivers enhanced with Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) with 20 Hz-20,000Hz frequency response, support multipoint connections and have improved active noise cancelling that’s been enhanced with Dual Noise Sensor tech and dual microphones for more precise and effective results. The earbuds offer up to 12 hours of music playback with noise cancelling off and about 8.5 hours with noise cancelling on and about 30 hours of battery life in total in tandem with the charging case.
Call quality on the Sony WF-C710N has also been improved as well, offering clear calls even in noisy environments on account of using Precise Voice Pickup Technology that uses AI machine learning and relying on over 500 million voice samples to suppress ambient noise and optimise voice quality. Users also have the opportunity to use the Sony Sound Connect app to customise equaliser settings.
