Be a rogue for hire in Star Wars Outlaws, launches 30 August and preorders now live
Much of the Star Wars universe focuses on the main protagonists of the show be it the Rebel Alliance or Galactic Empire and the conflict between the Jedi and the Sith along with some of the more ancillary characters like the myriad of clones but short of a few rogues and the Book of Boba Fett, little has been mentioned of the Star Wars universe underworld but Star Wars Outlaws aims to correct that oversight.
Ubisoft has teamed up with Lucasfilm Games for Star Wars Outlaws to create an open-world game set in the Star Wars underworld that is slated for arrival this 30 August and which will be available for Xbox Series X|S consoles, PlayStation 5, Amazon Luna and PC through Ubisoft Connect.
Those who subscribe to Ubisoft+ or get the Gold or Ultimate editions can enjoy 3 days of early access to the game and those who preorder before 30 August will receive the ‘Kessel Runner Bonus Pack’ that includes cosmetics for the protagonist and her ship.
You play as a rogue called Kay Vess and her salamander-like pet called Nix who are looking for the next big score. She gets persuaded by the head of the Zerek Besh crime syndicate to pull off the greatest heist of all time and has to navigate her way through the myriad criminal organisations in the Star Wars universe like the infamous Hutt Cartel, the Crimson Dawn, the Pyke Syndicate and the newly introduced Ashiga clan.
Kay has to explore the galaxy to get the right crew and gear for the ultimate heist including famous locations from the movies like Tatooine, Canto Bight, Kijimi and the new Toshara savannah.
