Weighing a light 1.3kg, Acer’s new Swift 5 notebook is their latest offering to the ultraportable market alongside their Swift 3 and Swift 7 that were launched earlier.

Crammed into a metal casing that’s 14.58mm thin, the Acer Swift 5 comes with a 14-inch Full HD display with 8mm thin bezels on the edges, an Intel Core i5-7200U processor running Windows 10, Intel HD Graphics 620 integrated graphics, a fingerprint reader tied to Windows Hello, stereo speakers juiced up with Dolby Audio Premium tech, a backlit keyboard  and a 4,670mAh 3-cell battery pack that offers a whopping ten hours of battery life.

In terms of connectivity it sports Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, comes with up to 8GB RAM and two configurations that differ in terms of the size of the SSD.  An Acer Swift 5 with 4GB RAM ane a 256GB SSD costs RM3,499 while a Swift 5 with 8GB RAM and a 512GB SSD retails for RM4,499. Both storage variants come in your choice of two colours  – Pearl White with gold trim and Obsidian Black with silver trim.
