Razer Blade 18 shows big is best with massive 18-inch QHD+ display, 13th Gen Intel Core i9 HX CPU
Alongside the compact Razer Blade 14 and the new Razer Blade 16, CES 2024 saw them taking the wraps off the new Razer Blade 18, an absolutely massive 18-inch gaming behemoth that is as powerful as it is huge with dimensions that make it better suited as a desktop replacement.
Razer Blade 18 specs
Razer has been scaling up their laptops to cater to demand and the Razer Blade 18 is a step up in girth from the earlier Razer Blade 17 with a larger display and appropriately powerful hardware befitting a Blade series gaming laptop. Needless to say, it’s a fairly hefty laptop and weighs 3.1kg while being 21.9mm thick.
The Razer Blade 18 comes in a variety of configurations though all of them feature an 18-inch QHD+ 240hz display with a tall 16:10 aspect ratio and the 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13950HX processor with options that primarily revolve around choices of GPU, RAM and storage.
Additional mod-cons with the massive Razer Blade 18 include a six-speaker array flanking the keyboard, a 5MP webcam just above the display for video calls and comprehensive I/O that consists of a trio of USB Type-A ports, a pair of USB-C ports with one being a Thunderbolt 4 compliant port, a HDMI 2.1 port, an Ethernet port and an SD card reader.
Starting on the ground floor, you get to choose between 16GB or 32GB DDR5 RAM, either 1TB or 2TB SSDs and your choice of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060, 4070, 4080 or 4090 to power it. Keeping this behemoth juiced is a 91.7Whr lithium-ion polymer battery with either a 280W or 330W GaN power adapter that’s lighter than its predecessors thanks to its Gallium Nitride tech.
At launch, the Razer Blade 18 has prices that start from US$2,899.99 and up which works out to about RM13,862 depending on configuration. There is no official details on availability in Malaysia just yet but in the meantime you can check their global site out at https://www.razer.com/gaming-laptops/razer-blade-18
