Stylish new realme 11 Pro 5G series with huge 200MP 4X zoom camera launching in Malaysia on 20 July 2023.

July is shaping up to be an interesting month for those looking to upgrade their phones as realme will be entering the fray with their upcoming realme 11 Pro series in Malaysia with a local launch slated for this 20th July 2023. The series consists of the standard realme 11, the realme 11 Pro and the realme 11 Pro+ though seeing the nature of the phrasing, it’s likely that the realme 11 Pro 5G and the realme 11 Pro+ 5G will be making an appearance here sans the baseline model.

What is the realme 11 Pro 5G series

Details are scarce on the exact models that will be launched in Malaysia but the design of the Pro and Pro+ models was done in collaboration with Matteo Menotto, the former print and textile designer of Gucci to ensure that they  look suitably boujee indeed. As smartphone designs go, the realme 11 Pro+ looks distinctive and stunning with a variety of colourways and a lychee vegan leather backplate bisected by a contrasting toned line in between with a circular camera housing up top.

The realme 11 Pro+ 5G is the most powerful phone out of the new line-up and consists of a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor with a 5G modem, up to 12GB RAM and up to 1TB of storage.

Image snapping duties are tackled by a massive 200MP F/1.7 SuperZoom camera sensor with OIS paired with an 8MP ultra wide angle camera and a 2MP macro camera riding shotgun while the front features a 32MP selfie camera. The phone also has stereo speakers and an under-display fingerprint reader. Keeping it powered is a 5,000mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC wired fast charging support.

The realme 11 Pro 5G has similar specifications as the higher end realme 11Pro+ 5G including a similar Dimensity 7060 processor, 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED FHD+ display and 5,000mAh battery but has a more modest 100MP F/1.8 rear camera with OIS and a secondary 2MP depth sensor, a front-facing 16MP selfie camera and slower 67W SuperVOOC fast charging. 

The baseline realme 11 officially sports a 6.43-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a modest Dimensity 6020 CPU, up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB of expandable storage via a microSD card. The rear sports a 6MP F/1.8 primary camera without OIS and a 2MP depth sensor while the front hosts an 8MP selfie camera. Fortunately, the phone has a 5,000mAH battery but with 33W wired charging.
